Types of Banking Exams

  1. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts Common Written Examinations (CWEs) five times in a year for the selection of Probationary Officer / Management Trainee / Clerk / Specialist Officer Posts in 20 Public Sector banks (IDBI is new entrant) and for Officers and Office Assistants in 82 Regional Rural Banks.
  2. SBI and SBI Associate banks conduct exams for recruitment to the posts of clerks and officers.
  3. Reserve Bank of India Selection Board (RBISB) conducts examinations for the recruitment of the candidates for various posts such as Grade A and B officers where exam is held in three phases followed by a preliminary test, a written test and an interview.
  4. Private Sector banks conduct exams for recruitment to the posts of Clerks and officers on the basis of IBPS CWE scores.
