Types of Banking Exams
- Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts Common Written Examinations (CWEs) five times in a year for the selection of Probationary Officer / Management Trainee / Clerk / Specialist Officer Posts in 20 Public Sector banks (IDBI is new entrant) and for Officers and Office Assistants in 82 Regional Rural Banks.
- SBI and SBI Associate banks conduct exams for recruitment to the posts of clerks and officers.
- Reserve Bank of India Selection Board (RBISB) conducts examinations for the recruitment of the candidates for various posts such as Grade A and B officers where exam is held in three phases followed by a preliminary test, a written test and an interview.
- Private Sector banks conduct exams for recruitment to the posts of Clerks and officers on the basis of IBPS CWE scores.
